Day 88

This is what I saw when I came to get Ryan this morning.  He's always moving all sorts of crazy ways now.  Yesterday I woke up to the baby monitor making all sorts of static.  So- I know it got turned off.  I went to check on Ryan.  He was turned completely sideways at the top of his crib, playing with his baby monitor and the pocket/material thing that hangs on his crib!  I had to take his monitor out of crib so he couldn't turn it off anymore.  It amazes Tim & me everyday just how big he is getting.

Day 87

This is yesterday's post.  I was too tired to come upload a picture.  Does anyone know how busy the life of a working mom to a brand new baby is?!  I wake up at 6:45-7 every morning.   Get ready for work, pump milk, pack Ryan's diaper bag, make lunch, get to work by 8:00.  Work from 8-4.  Drive to Grandma's to pick up Ryan.  Usually get home around 5ish.  Play with Ryan. Make/eat dinner.  Bathe Ryan at 6:30.  Play some more.  Feed Ryan.  Put Ryan to bed at 7:45.  Clean a little- do some dishes.  Hang w/ Tim.  Take a shower.  Pump more milk.  & then it's usually after 10 and I'm exhausted.

But, I wouldn't change it for a thing :)  So- when I skip a day here or there- it's okay for me to cheat and post a picture the next day!

Day 86

Christmas Jammies!

Don't mind Bubba's big hair!  He just woke up and I wanted a picture of him before I changed him.  Today was my last day of Thanksgiving break.  I'm already so sad to leave Ryan tomorrow!  Boo.  He has been a little whiney these past 2 days, and I'm almost thinking he might be teething.  Except, Tim & I don't want him to get teeth.  We love his gummy little smile.

I have had off of work since Tuesday, tomorrow is my last day of Thanksgiving vacation.  It's been so, so nice to spend all day, everyday w/ Ryan.  I'm already sad that tomorrow is Sunday.  I love the time I get to spend with my family.

Ryan & I spent the day shopping while Daddy was at work.  When Daddy came home Ryan couldn't take his eyes off of him.  He wouldn't look at me to take his picture.  Love my boys.

Day 80

We are still practicing sitting every day!  He can sit for a few seconds before toppling over.   He was already grumpy when we started sitting today- he was not having it!  This was him right before he fell over.

Day 76

Tonight is day 18 sleeping in his crib.  I think he likes it.  & after the first two weeks, it isn't so bad putting him in their anymore.  It just took some getting used to.  Today was my 2nd day of getting Ryan to nap in his crib.  Today was just as easy as yesterday was.  I wish I would have started it sooner :)

Day 75

Life with Ryan is getting so much easier now that he is bigger.  Well- it's always been pretty easy.   He has always been a good baby with only a handful of bad days.  He has ALWAYS slept at night.  No random 1am playtimes.

Bed time has become more predictable.  I started Ryan off w/ a bedtime routine at 1 month old.  Bath every night, lotion, jammies, snuggle time, nurse, and sleep.  His bath was at 7:30 and he would fall asleep around 9-9:30.   About a month ago, I moved his bathtime to 6:30-6:45 because he has been getting tired earlier.  Now it's bathtime, lotion, jammies, snuggle, nurse- & I lay him in his crib at 7:45.  I put a pacifier in his mouth, his blanket, Bluey, on him, turn on his mobile and he's sleeping by 8.  No problems at all.  We named his blanket Bluey because his big sister has a green afghan named "Greeny" and a pink one named "Pinky."  Since Ryan's afghan is blue, we figured "Bluey" fit perfectly.

I talked to my best friend about a nap schedule this weekend.  & I decided that Ryan needs to be on a nap schedule.  Sometimes when he is with other people- he does not nap!  So today was day one.  I got home early (Wednesday is early out day!)  I noticed Ryan was a little sleepy at 3:30 so I nursed him & layed him in his crib.  He whined for a second so I went in and played w/ his hair & left.  About 5 minutes later I still hadn't heard anything and he was already sleeping.  Which was nice, because Mommy got a nap too!  I woke up at 5:30 and I checked on Ryan.  I hadn't heard anything on his monitor.  He was wide awake playing with his blanket.  He sure does love his blanket.

Now that I have bedtime down.  It's time to start working on a nap schedule.

Every single day, I truly am enjoying being a mother more and more and more.  & everyday, I think how it can't possibly get any better- & it always does.

I have used Shutterfly for many, many years, since high school days.   They always have amazing deals when you sign up.  They are always emailing me their special promos, and codes for buy one get one free deals, and free pictures.  I have used and made many different products that they have.

Last Christmas, my mother in law made us a wall calendar of all of our wedding pictures.  It is absolutely gorgeous and the picture quality is amazing.

I have also made 2 different photo books.  I made one for my best friend as a Christmas present 2 years ago- all pictures of her newborn baby boy at the time.  The second one I made is a book of our summer with our daughter, Elyse.  Elyse loves to look at her book when she is here in Tucson.

I have made cards on shutterfly as well.  My husband, Tim, used to live in a different city as me.  I made him a card containing pictures of us & they were able to mail it directly to him.

I made Ryan's birth announcements at Shutterfly also.  & the timing was perfect, because I had just recieved an email from Shutterfly, with a code for 20 free birth announcements!

Each day, I get so sad to give Ryan a bath- while I love bathtime with him, it means that in less than 1.5 hours my baby will be asleep.  I wish I could keep him up and play/snuggle with him longer.

Bubba's first time in a high chair!

S0- I haven't posted in a few days.  I take most of the pictures on here, on my cell phone.  However, I washed my phone in with the bed sheets last weekend.  I put my phone in rice for a few days & nothing.  It's gone.  Makes me sad.  && My camera is in my classroom.  Therefore, I haven't taken pictures in a few days.

We are in Yuma so Ryan can spend time with Grandma, Grandpa,  Auntie Becca & his cousins.  So I finally have a picture (taken on Grandma's phone!)

Day 70

Ryan loves to go for walks in his stroller.  He has always loved to be outside.  I take him for walks as often as I can.  Every time we go for a walk, I'll stop the stroller and get in front of him so he can see me, and this is the face he always makes at me :)  He loves his momma.

Day 69

My babies.  I am sad that one of them lives on the other side of the country.  We haven't seen E since July 6th.  Regardless, I hope they grow up close and full of love for each other.

I have tried on a few different occasions to put Ryan to sleep in his crib.  The longest I lasted was 5 days in a row.  He is 4 1/2 months and I decided to try again.  This is night #2.  He took a bath at 6:45, ate after his bath, fell asleep while nursing, woke up for a few minutes, and I put him in his crib.  I turned the monitor on and came in my room.  10 minutes later I still hadn't heard him, only the mobile.  I checked on him and he was sound asleep before 8pm.  Last night he slept from 8pm-6:45am.  He's getting too big too fast.

Day 61
