Day 298

This morning we had a 9am doctor appointment to get the first look at our new baby!  I love that I had to wake Ryan up at 8:45 am in order to go.  He rubbed his eyes and did not open them the whole time I changed his diaper.  He loves to sleep.  Just like mommy.

It was so special to have Ryan and Elyse there with Tim & I.  Last time I laid on the bed, we were looking up at Ryan on the screen.  He spent most of the time just bouncing around.  This baby was not as wild as Ryan.  However, it was just as perfect with the cutest little fingers and feet.  Today I fell in love all over again.

We are so excited for the new baby who will be arriving early in January.

Day 297

Elyse and I made dumplings for lunch today during Ryan's nap.  We love dumplings in this house.  She loves to help cook and is always asking to help when she sees us making dinner or lunch.  She actually did most of the work today making dumplings!

After lunch, we went swimming.  We swam for about 2.5 hours.  It was fun.  Ryan loves the water, which makes me happy.  He is such a good boy.  He was splashing and kicking.  I submerged him a few times.  What's funny is I used to submerge babies all the time when I taught swim lessons- but I was scared to submerge Ryan!  But he did well.  I hope to take him swimming more often and hopefully he becomes a little fish in just a few more years!

Day 296

Always into something.  He loves to get into the DVDs and pull them all out. 

 Elyse wanted to come to camp with me today, so she was there w/ me from 8-4.  Didn't do much.  I still think she's nuts for wanting to wake up early and come when she can stay home all day.

Day 295

I'm working Summer Camp at my school.  I wouldn't mind working every single day if I didn't have kids, but I miss them when I'm gone.  Today, Tim dropped off Elyse & Kylie at my school at 12:30- we go swimming on Mondays from 1-4.  It was nice to have the girls at work with me!

Day 294

Today after Ryan's nap (which he has been sleeping 3 hours lately) we went swimming with Caitlyn and Kylie.  Tim & I didn't bring suits, but Ryan was able to get in a little bit.  He loved the water.  & He can do a back float like a pro!

Day 293

Spent the whole day hanging out with my mom.  After dinner tonight, we wanted some ice cream.  We went to McDonalds and all got McFlurries.  I was a little (or a lot) disappointed when we ordered larges, and they gave us smalls!  Apparently, they no longer have larges, only smalls or snack size.  We wanted ice cream!

Day 292

Auntie Loni & Peyton sent Ryan some birthday presents today.  The kids loved them.  Ryan has a giraffe toy where you put the balls into the mouth- so he already knew how to put the basketballs into the hoop.  He LOVES it.  I love watching the kids play together.  Elyse is such an awesome big sister.

Grandma came into town today!!!  We love to visit with her.  We went to a few stores and then had Peter Piper Pizza for dinner.  Yuuummy.

Day 291

I find it annoying when I see 134234 pictures that are exactly the same.  But I had to do it this time.  Ryan's first time wearing big boy jammies.  He was so funny.  He was smiling and happy, then he didn't want to stand anymore and kept looking up at me.  Brat.

& Elyse.  She was jump roping in the house because it was so hot outside.

Day 290

Kylie stayed the night last night.  Caitlyn came over around 10:30 to pick her up because she had a swimming date with some friends.  Elyse wanted to go, but I decided to stay home and clean the house.  Elyse had fun swimming.  I got to clean the downstairs, sweep and mop, and clean both of the upstairs bathrooms, so I felt very accomplished.  Ryan also took a 3 hour nap.

Day 289

Today, after work, Tim & I took the kids to the splash pad.  We tried going on Ryan's birthday, but it was vandalized and they had to order a new part.  Well- we finally got to go today.  We decided to have a BBQ there as well so we brought hamburgers.  The water at the splash pad was a little cold, Ryan hated it.  The girls didn't play long.  They spent most of the time playing at the park.

Day 288

Ryan is so perfect at bedtime.  He smiles whenever I lay him in his crib and waits for me to put his blanket on him and then snuggles it.  Tonight when I laid him down, I left the light on because I was going to get my camera and take a picture.  Ryan must've thought it wasn't bedtime because he was so excited, up walking around his crib.  Silly baby.

Then I went into Elyse's room, and for the first time this summer, didn't want her picture taken. So here is Greeny.

Tonight we went to Olive Garden for Tecia's birthday.  Happy Birthday, Tecia!

Day 287

The kids played outside in Ryan's new water table once Grandma, Papa, & Haley left today.  We miss them already.  The kids had so much fun, even Elyse did! She said "For a kid toy- this is pretty cool." haha.

Happy Fathers' Day to my amazing husband!  & to my dad, who is just as awesome.

Day 286

Ryan's first time eating cake!  Well- it was a cupcake w/ vanilla frosting.  Yuuum.

We had lots to do to prepare for Ryan's birthday party.  He woke up at 6:30 today!!! Omg- I was dying by naptime, so I took a nap with Ryan even though I had stuff to do.  My parents came over and helped us.  They surprised us by bringing my niece, Haley, with them.  Love her.  Ryan had an awesome first birthday, spent with people who mean so much to us.  He is so blessed.  He got lots of new super cute clothes & toys!

Day 285

My babies a year ago today!

Elyse came to work with me today.  We were taking a field trip to Pump It Up & she wanted to come along.  We got home at 5.  Picked up the downstairs a little bit, went to Subway, and then went to Grandma's house to pick up Ryan.  Tim had dropped him off because it was his job to clean the house since Elyse & I were gone all day.  We had to run to Target to get Ryan a birthday card, Party City to get some birthday decorations, Joann Fabrics to get some stuff to decorate Ryan's high chair for his party, and lasty Fry's to buy all the food for his party!  Exhausting.  Plus I wasn't feeling well, so that didn't help. 

We came home, Tim made salsa and chicken for the enchiladas and I passed out early.  Ryan's first birthday party is tomorrow and we're all so excited!

Day 284

Ryan's First Birthday!!!

Ryan woke up in a good mood.  When I went to get him out of his crib he was happily holding his blanket and playing with his mobile.

He had a dr. appointment this morning.  He is 17lbs 7oz and 27.5in long!  Up almost 10 pounds since birth and 7.5 inches.  People annoy me when they tell me he's small, like I don't know.  But, he is the most perfect, beautiful baby I've ever seen :)

Then we all went to a park with a splash pad, but the park was closed!  Booo.  Someone had vandalized it this past weekend so we couldn't play!  Instead we went to Golden Corral.

& Ryan got to try his first taste of vanilla ice cream!  Yum.  He loved it :)

Tim took his 1 year pictures.  We hung out at the house and played.

We went out for dinner with Tim's parents.  Ryan got home over and hour past his bedtime but he was such a good boy.

Best year of my life.  Ryan is so so amazing.  Tim & I are so lucky <3

Day 283

Sharing otter pops with daddy.  Ryan wanted to hold Tim's so he pulled one out of the freezer for him to hold, I think Ryan was getting mad because he'd bite the top and nothing was coming out (because it wasn't open.)  But Ryan loves otter pops!

Tonight we went over to Grandma & Grandpa's house and ate pizza.  Yum.
