Pregnancy (the second time around)

I was exactly 5 months pregnant in this picture.  It was September 3rd, and I was 21w6d.  Would you like to see me 5 months pregnant with Ryan??

This one was on Feb 9, 2010, again at 21w6d.

I think within the last 2 weeks I officially have a baby belly.  Not just looking like I ate too much, or a little chunky at night, but a full on baby belly!  People have started noticing my belly.  Last Thursday when we got Ryan's haircut was the first time someone asked me if I was expecting!  It made me happy.  I remember the first time a stranger asked me if I was pregnant with Ryan, I was 23w6d.  Is it weird that I remember that?  I remember the dates of everything.  It was the day before Rodeo Break at my school.  Tim's mom & I went to JoAnn to look at fabric and I found a pillow identical to the boppy pillow, used my 40% off coupon and only paid about $8!  People are nuts for spending $30+ for the brand name pillows.  We went to Jack In The Box after and the lady who took our order was the one who asked me if I was pregnant.  I got excited then too.

So, here I am on Monday at 25w1d.

I love my belly.  After I had Ryan I was a little sad I didn't have a baby belly anymore.

When I was pregnant with Ryan, I would spend hours on the computer looking up carseats, crib sheets, baby toys, strollers, clothes, well just EVERYTHING.  Loni & I would send links back and forth of different things we liked.  Which crib did we want to get?  What did we want to put on our babies walls?  We looked at and talked about it all.  It's awesome to be pregnant the same time as one of your friends!  I spent so much time walking up and down the baby aisles at Target.  I bought diapers and clothes.  Have I mentioned that I have NOT had to buy diapers in over a year??  I bought a few extra pack of newborn diapers when Ryan was born because Ryan was in them until he was 2m old and someone told me not to buy too many because you never know how long they will be in them.  I was THAT obsessed with having everything.  I only bought wipes for the first time since Ryan's been born about 2 months ago.

I am so much more relaxed this time around.  I didn't cry the day my favorite jeans got too tight like I did with Ryan.  I don't hate watching my weight go up at my check ups.  I eat whatever I want, okay okay- I did that with Ryan too. I love that I already have (almost) everything I need for this baby.  Except diapers, pacifiers, bottle lines, just small things.

Guess how many days left I have until my due date?  100!  ONE HUNDRED!

Ryan's first vacation!

We decided to make Ryan's first vacation to Chicago!  We get Elyse in the summer and Tim had to take her back to her mom's on July 3rd.  Tim & I decided to fly back with her and spend a few days in Chicago to go visit Loni, and also to get a few more days with Elyse.  Was I nervous about flying with my brand new 17 day old baby?  Of course I was.  One thing that made it A LOT easier was that Loni was pregnant and already had everything she needed for Baby Peyton so we didn't have to worry about a bassinet, stroller, car seat/base, pack n play, or swing!  Loni was nice enough to let Ryan try out all of P's new things.

The flight with Ryan was actually pretty easy.  He didn't cry at all.  The only thing I really read about was to make sure the baby was sucking during take off/landing, so I made sure that Ryan was nursing during both.  & he was a little angel.

When we arrived in Chicago, Loni & Dustin were waiting for us at baggage claim.  Ryan was so excited to meet his Auntie!  Elyse left with her mom and we went home with Loni & Dustin.

Ryan's first night at Loni's house and trying out Peyton (& Loni's!) bassinet.  He slept well and only woke up to nurse.  I know I've said it a thousand times before but Ryan has always been such a good sleeper.  This picture makes me sad!  I miss the cute little swaddle and sucker days.

The next day was Ryan's first 4th of July!! I was so excited for him to try out his new outfit!  Tim & I picked it out at Target the day we bought his coming home outfit.  Loni even had a new hat for Ryan!

We went out to lunch, and came home to discover that Ryan pooped in his diaper and it had gotten on his new pants and P's new carseat.  Oopsie.  So we had to change his cute shorts into some khaki pants so we could take some pictures.  Notice their beautiful green grass!  Love.

We went to a school- I think it was a school, to watch the fireworks.  Ryan's first fireworks and he didn't even cry!

Here you can see that Ryan loved Peyton before he even knew her!  But Peyton is too busy kicking Ryan's booty.

Sweet Dreams..

The next day was Monday, and that means we got to pick up Elyse!  We had to pick her up before her mom left for work.  I think it was like 7:00 in the morning or something, all I know is we had to wake up and leave sooo early because she lives an hour away from Loni, and there was so much constuction.  The drive felt forever.  When we got there Elyse wanted to show us her house.  On the way back to Loni's, we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast since nobody had eaten yet.  What did we spend our day doing?  Swimming of course.  It's probably Elyse's number 1 favorite thing to do in the summer.  Ryan was too little to go swimming and I had just given birth less than 3 weeks prior so Ryan and I hung on the side of the pool.

We went to play at the park.  We thought it would be a big park and it was so teeny.  We laughed.

After the park we decided that we wanted to tye dye some shirts!  Loni had already bought the tye dye and we just needed to get some shirts for Elyse and I and some onesies for the babies.

I made Ryan and I matching shirts which we wore on our flight home.

Poor Dustin was scared of Ryan.  Ryan was the first baby he held, but he did a great job.

Taking Elyse home that night was such a pain in the butt.  Ryan screamed for like 10 minutes straight in the car.  We had to pull over so I could nurse him in the Walgreens parking lot.  That was fun.

Trying out Peyton's changing table.

The next day we had to wake up early again to pick up Elyse before her mom went to work.  We went swimming, again!

Riding horses!  Elyse loved Loni.  After swimming we walked to the school by Loni's house to play on the playground.  I think we all almost died walking there.  Loni wanted to walk so bad, but by the time we got there, we were all dripping in sweat that nobody even wanted to play.  So poor ol' Dustin walked back to the house, picked up the car and drove us back home!

We went out to eat that night.  It started storming pretty bad.  We had to drive in the storm to take Elyse back to her mom's house.

Our trip was over after 4 days and it was time to come back to sunny & hot Tucson.  Loni took us to the airport but we had to take one last picture before we left.  Ryan was perfect on the way back home too, Thank God!  I definitely would have had a melt down if he was crying on the plane ride home.

Up past my bedtime...

But I wanted to post some pictures of Ryan!

Check out his soaking wet shirt.  He loves his water table.  He's always drinking the water from it though.  He is always drinking out of everything he can get his hands on.

This is what I came home to Tuesday afterwork.  I couldn't tell that there was stuff under the cushion and I was wondering why it looked so weird.  I lifted it up to find tupperware, a sippy cup, and a snack cup.  Ryan totally watched me take the stuff out and gave me a look like "Ma- that took me a while to do that, leave it alone."  I'm always finding stuff all over the place.  Like his pajama shirt in the cupboard, one of Elyse's dollhouse dolls in the candle holder, a little orange basketball in our fountain, blocks in the pots and pans.. the list goes on and on.   && a couple weeks ago I had to write a check and could not find my check book anywhere.  I found it a few days later in the cupboard!  Ryan takes everything off of the tables and hides it some place.

I was stalking Rebecca's facebook the other night and came across a picture of Aiden wearing these jammies.  I love them!  & I was sad because I hadn't seen them (Rebecca lets Ryan borrow Aiden's old clothes) and was wondering if she had kept them to herself! So I was looking through Aiden's stuff and there they were.  :)  They are a little big on him, but I couldn't resist putting him in them.  He's actually staring at the tv here, about to bust a move!

Check him out here-- He was playing in the water table again.

Ryan can play with blocks forever.  We're learning how to sort our shapes and stick them in the right holes!  The circle is still the only shape he can do all by himself, but we'll keep getting better.

His jammies say "I am the boss," which he totally is.  Brat.

Ryan's first peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  I was a little nervous to give him peanut butter- but he ate the whole sandwich.  Sandwich- doesn't that seem like such a big kid food?? =(

"Ryan, go get your shoes." & He always brings them one at a time.

We went to play at the park tonight.  I think I fell in love with Ryan all over again as we were walking there.  I said "hold hands," and he raised his hand and grabbed onto my finger and we held hands all the way there.  <3

Double fisting- baby style!

Last week, Tim saw a 9 month old baby girl and she was waving.  When he came home he was asking me why Ryan didn't wave.  I told him we don't usually wave to Ryan.  Because I don't, I never leave Ryan, except to go to work and he's already sleeping.  Waving isn't at the top of my to-do list so it didn't bother me that he still wasn't waving.   Tonight, Ryan and I were watching Barney and Barney's friends were leaving the park and they said "bye bye" and we're all waving to each other, when Ryan starts waving at the tv! Haha.  So I said to Tim "have you been practicing waving with Ryan," and he said yes.  I waved and said "bye bye" to Ryan and he started waving back.  He's so cute.

Something I have been trying to work on with Ryan is "where's your nose?"  I've been practicing for weeks- but he always looks at me like he has better things to do than point to his noise.  Tonight in the bath tub I asked Ryan, "where's your nose?" and he smiled and pointed to his nose.

I want to write more, but I'm sooo tired and it's already so late!  There's always tomorrow...
